Julian Kiverstein

Julian Kiverstein is senior researcher at the Department of Psychiatry, Amsterdam University Medical Research.
Previously he held the position of assistant professor in neurophilosophy at the University of Amsterdam. Dr Kiverstein has published extensively in the broad field of the philosophy of enactive and embodied cognition arguing for the significance of the phenomenological tradition in philosophy for cognitive science. He is co-author (with Michael Kirchhoff) of the monograph Extended Consciousness and Predictive Processing: A Third Wave View (Routledge, 2019) and the editor of the Routledge Handbook of the Philosophy of the Social Mind (2016).
