The idea never materialised, and the temple remained a creation of the imagination \u2013 until now. More than a century later, af Klint\u2019s vision has been translated into a VR experience.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"section-x-padding\">\n    <div class=\"wysiwyg section-inner-width mx-auto my-8\">\n        <p>The virtual reality work Hilma af Klint: The Temple is a 12-minute VR experience inspired by the artist\u2019s vision to create a spiritual building to house her most important works. The VR work includes 193 of Hilma af Klint\u2019s paintings in a format that transcends time and space and makes a significant portion of her artistic output available to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The VR experience will premiere during Frieze Art Fair in London and in Paris during Paris in the autumn 2022. More exhibits are planned during 2023. Hilma af Klint: The Temple was written by Kurt Almqvist and Daniel Birnbaum and directed by Marika Stolpe. The work was produced by Acute Art and published by Bokf\u00f6rlaget Stolpe in partnership with Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation for Public Benefit. The Creative Director is Rodrigo Marques, and the music was composed by Andrew Sheriff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The virtual reality work <em>Hilma af Klint The Temple\u00a0<\/em>has been shown at the following events:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Frieze Art Fair, The House of Koko and Swedenborg house, London 2022.<\/li>\n<li>Art Basel Paris and the Swedish Institute in Paris, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>Tate Late at Tate Modern, London 2023.<\/li>\n<li>The exhibition Swedish Ecstasy at the Centre for Fine Arts in Bozar, Brussels 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Fotografiska New York and the David Zwirner gallery, New York 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Fotografiska Stockholm, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"templates\/template-general.php","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-11372","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
