Emily Roy

Emily Roy has recently completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge and the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford. Her research concerned the significance of stone in the printed imagery of the new Russian imperial capital of St Petersburg in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. She is currently a curator with the National Trust working on a major project to bring Bath Assembly Rooms to life. Previously, she held curatorial positions at Bristol Museums and Waddesdon Manor (National Trust, Rothschild Collections), specialising in applied and decorative arts. She completed her BA in History of Art at Oxford University and her MA in Russian Studies at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, UCL.
