Matthew Norris

Matthew Norris is a historian of ideas at Lund University. He received his doctoral degree in 2016 based on his thesis ‘A Pilgrimage to the Past: Johannes Bureus and the Rise of Swedish Antiquarian Scholarship, 1600–1650’. His research interest is the history of the humanities in the early modern era and specialises in the development of historiography and Swedish antiquarian scholarship during the Swedish Empire era.
