Philip Almond

Philip Almond is professor emeritus in the history of religious thought at the University of Queensland, Australia, and a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. He is the author of some fifteen books. His most recent books are Mary Magdalene: a Cultural History (2022), The Buddha: Life and Afterlife Between East and West (2024) and Noah and the Flood in Western Thought (2025).
