Ann Katrin Pihl Atmer

Ann Katrin Pihl Atmer is an associate professor of the history of art at Stockholm University. She was a curator at Stockholm’s Museum of Architecture, today known as the Stockholm Centre for Architecture and Design, and a research assistant at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics at Stockholm University. In 1987, she defended her PhD thesis ‘Sommarnöjet i skärgården’. She continues to focus on the history of architecture and the built environment. Her books include the multi-award-winning ‘Stockholms stadshus och arkitekten Ragnar Östberg’ (2011) and ‘Södermalm: Husen, historien, människorna’ (2019) as well as a volume on Östermalm (2024) with a similar structure.
