Martin Rörby

Martin Rörby, PhD is an architecture historian, writer, former Secretary of the Council for the Protection of Stockholm’s Beauty and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. He has worked at Stockholm University and Stockholm’s Museum of Architecture (now the Stockholm Centre for Architecture and Design). Today he runs his own business but is also affiliated, as senior advisor, with Stadsmuseet in Stockholm and is involved in Birthe & Per Arwidsson’s Foundation. He has published a number of books about 20th-century architecture, contributed to various anthologies and writes on a regular basis in different architecture and design publications. He is a frequent contributor to the public discourse on the city as a human habitat and regularly talks about architecture on Swedish public television.
