Michael Wiander

Michael Wiander is an author and elite chess player who works with writing and chess for children up to elementary school age. Since his debut in 2017, Wiander has published some 10 books, many of which have been selected by the Swedish non-profit Läsrörelsen as good examples of reader-friendly children’s literature capable of fostering the joy of reading. These include ‘Dexter Olssons äventyr’ (2017) and ‘Schackklubben Draken’ (2021). His most recent publication is a guidebook on chess, ‘Drakens Schackskola’ (2024).
