Håkan Wahlquist

Håkan Wahlquist is an anthropologist with a research background in Nepal and the Himalayas. From 1989 to 2013, he was curator of the Asian collections at the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm. During that time, he was – and still is – keeper of the Sven Hedin Foundation at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. His most recent work deals with the origins and history of the concept of the Silk Road.
