William O’Reilly

William O’Reilly teaches early modern history at the University of Cambridge and is Leibniz Professor of History at the German National Maritime Museum. He is a full-time fellow of the Institute of Advanced Study, Budapest. He has served as an editor of the Historical Journal and of Atlantic Studies. In 2013, he was awarded the Pilkington Prize for excellence in teaching.
