Johan Mårtelius

Johan Mårtelius is an architect and professor emeritus in the history of architecture at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. His writing largely focuses on classical traditions of architecture, often with both long historical and broad geographical perspectives, but also reflects a contemporary mindset, evidenced by his long affiliation with the Swedish review Arkitektur. His most recent book is ‘Istanbul – arkitekturstaden’ (2024).
