Allan Klynne is a writer and translator. He gained a PhD in ancient culture and society in 2002 with a dissertation on Roman terra sigillata pottery.
He has worked at the Swedish Institute in Rome and as interim director of the Villa San Michele on Capri. His books include Kleopatra: liv och legend (‘Cleopatra: Life and Legend’, 2009), Pyrrhos: segraren som förlorade (‘Pyrrhus: the Victor Who Lost’, 2016) and Antikens sju underverk (‘The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World’, 2019). He is currently writing a book about Constantine the Great.
