Andrea Kollnitz

Her research interests include art and nationalism, modernism in art and fashion, fashion caricatures and fashion photography, the Nordic avant-garde from transnational perspectives, and artistic performativity. She is the joint editor of Modernism och mode (‘Modernism and Fashion’, 2015), Fashion and Modernism (2018), A Cultural History of the Avant-garde in the Nordic Countries, vol. 2: 1925–1950 (2019), Fashion, Performance and Performativity (2021). She is currently undertaking research into surrealism in Sweden and writing a monograph on the artist Leonor Fini.
