Åsa Karlsson

Åsa Karlsson is a historian and chief editor of Svenskt biografiskt lexikon. She received her doctorate in 1994 for her thesis on Charles XII’s time in the Ottoman Empire. Karlsson was involved in the project that studied the von Celsing family estate’s art collection at Biby Manor and was a contributor to Minnet av Konstantinopel: den osmansk-turkiska 1700-talssamlingen på Biby and Biby: ett fideikommiss berättar (2014). She took part in the research project ‘När Sverige styrdes från Osmanska riket’.
