Catharina Thörn

Catharina Thörn is a sociologist and lecturer in cultural studies at the University of Gothenburg. She carries out research into urban development, public spaces and gentrification and among other things she has written Gentrifiering (“Gentrification”) in cooperation with Helena Holgersson; Den urbana fronten – en dokumentation av makten över staden (“The Urban Front: A Documentation of the Power over the City”) in collaboration with Katarina Despotovic; and Stad till salu – Entreprenörsurbanismen och det offentliga rummets värde (“City for Sale: Entrepreneurial Urbanism and the Value of the Public Space”) in collaboration with Mats Frantzén and Nils Hertting.
