David Thurfjell

David Thurfjell received his doctorate in the history of religion in 2003 from Uppsala University for his thesis on Iranian Shiite Islamism.

His research has focused on the secularised majority culture in Scandinavia and its ambiguous relation with its Lutheran cultural heritage. Thurfjell has written Det gudlösa folket: de postkristna svenskarna och religionen and Granskogsfolk: hur naturen blev svenskarnas religion.
