Eloise Davies is Departmental Lecturer in Political Theory at Oriel College, Oxford. She previously directed studies in History at Pembroke College, Oxford. Her forthcoming monograph is The Venetian Connection: England, Venice, and Stuart Religious Politics, 1603–1714. Davies has been awarded the Sir John Neale Prize and the Society for Court Studies essay prize.
