Jesper Meijling

He is affiliated to the departments of historical studies and urban and regional studies at KTH. Meijling often studies the phenomenon of marketisation of public services and spaces, as in his book Marknad på villovägar (“Markets astray”, 2014). His report on the new Karolinska hospital, Nya Karolinska – ett pilotprojekt för marknadsstyrd vård? (“Nya Karolinska – a pilot project for the marketisation of health care?”), has attracted much attention. Meijling has also written about Jane Jacobs for Swedish readers, for example in his book Påståenden om framtiden (“Claims on the Future”).
