John Goodall is the architectural editor of Country Life responsible for writing and commissioning the celebrated series of architectural features published in the magazine every week.
His recent books include The Castle. A History (2022), English House Style (2019), Parish Church Treasures (2015) and The English Castle (2011). John sits on several fabric advisory bodies including those of Westminster Abbey, St George's Windsor and the Cathedral Fabric Commission. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Antiquaries and has been involved in various television series on history and architecture.
