Julia Pennlert

Julia Pennlert, who has a PhD in literary studies, works as a university lecturer with a focus on reading and activities to promote reading at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science at the University of Borås. Her research considers the role of reading in – and in relation to – the digital media landscape. She has conducted numerous studies on digital meeting places for literature, the growth of commercial audiobooks and how we read today. She has also been the editor of a number of books, such as ’Poesins platser: Om diktens betydelse i perifera och populära rum’ and ’Från Strindberg till Storytel: Korskopplingar mellan ljud och litteratur’.
