Kerstin Barup

Kerstin Barup is an architect and runs the architect firm Barup & Edström together with Mats Edström. She was previously a professor of architecture and the built environment at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University, and a professor of architectural conservation at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. In 1988, she was awarded a Dr Tech from the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University, and also became a professor of architectural conservation at that institution in 1999. Barup’s most recent book is ‘Isak Gustaf Clason: resan mot en ny arkitektur’ (Bokförlaget Stolpe, 2024), which she co-authored with Mats Edström.
