Lars Wollin

Lars Wollin is emeritus professor of Scandinavian Languages/Swedish and has worked at the universities in Lund, Gothenburg and Uppsala as well as Åbo Akademi University.
Wollin’s research has dealt with Scandinavian philology and the history of the Swedish language as well as translation theory and the development of translation from the medieval era to today. A central theme is the role of Latin in the maturing of Swedish as a language used in literature and as a standard. Among his works is the monograph Det humanistiska bibelverket om reformatorernas bibelöversättningar i Sverige och Danmark.
