Lisbet Rausing

Lisbet Rausing is a Swedish-born science historian and philanthropist. With her husband, Peter Baldwin, she co-founded Arcadia, a UK foundation that works to protect nature, preserve cultural heritage, and promote open access to knowledge. She is also founder of the Lund Trust, which works to green people’s lives in the UK. Lisbet supports family companies such as Ingleby Farms and is a trustee of the National Trust and the Ecological Restoration Fund. Her outside boards and committees have included the Harvard Board of Overseers, Yad Hanadiv Advisory Committee, and the Cambridge Conservation Initiative Advisory Board. Lisbet received her BA in History at UC Berkeley and her PhD at Harvard University, where she was a lecturer and assistant professor in the history of science.
