Mark Pagel is Professor of Evolutionary Biology at the University of Reading, head of the university’s Evolutionary Biology Group and a fellow of the Royal Society.
He is the editor-in-chief of the award-winning Oxford Encyclopedia of Evolution and co-author of The Comparative Method in Evolutionary Biology. Widely published in the journals Nature and Science, he is also the author of Wired for Culture: Origins of the Human Social Mind.
