Mateusz Stróżyński

Mateusz Stróżyński is associate professor of Classics and philosophy at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Since 2021 he has been director of the Institute of Classical Philology at AMU Poznań. He is a member of the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Platonism. Stróżyński is a founding co-editor of the journal Antigone and a co-founder of the Tyrannica, an interdisclipinary network dedicated to the research on tyranny from antiquity to present times. His books include Adam Mickiewicz’s Metaphysical Poems (trans and ed with J Fiećko, 2023) and Plotinus on the Contemplation of the Intelligible World: Faces of Being and Mirrors of Intellect (2024).
