Michael W. Mehaffy is a guest researcher at the Centre for the Future of Places (CFP) of KTH. He is the head of the Sustasis Foundation, a think-tank dealing with urban sustainability, having its head office in Portland, Oregon. Mehaffy is active internationally as a researcher, educator and practitioner in urban design and strategic city development. He is a member of the editing panel of two international journals and the author or co-author of over 20 books, the latest being Cities Alive: Jane Jacobs, Christopher Alexander, and the Roots of the New Urban Renaissance.
