Nils Uddenberg is a professor and writer.

His research has, to a great extent, been devoted to the interface between biology, medicine, philosophy, the humanities and theology. He has been a political adviser to the Genetics Committee under the Swedish Department of Justice and has received several literary awards, including the Swedish literary award Augustpriset for his history of biology, Idéer om livet (Ideas About Life), in 2003.
