Norman Stone

Author

Norman Stone (1941–2019) was a professor in the Department of International Relations at Bilkent University, Ankara.

He was formerly Professor of Modern History at the University of Oxford, lecturer in Russian and German History at the University of Cambridge and an adviser to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. His major publications include The Eastern Front, 1914–1917, which won the Wolfson Prize for History, and Europe Transformed: 1878–1919.
