Robin Lane Fox

He was Oxford University reader in ancient history from 1990 until his retirement in 2014. His book The Classical World: An Epic History of Greece and Rome won the Runciman Award, and Augustine: Conversions and Confessions won the UK’s Wolfson History Prize for the best book on any period of history published in that year. His latest book is The Invention of Medicine: From Homer to Hippocrates.
