Roel Sterckx

Roel Sterckx is Joseph Needham Professor of Chinese History, Science and Civilisation at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Clare College.
He was trained at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, National Taiwan University, University of Cambridge and University of Oxford. His books include The Animal and the Daemon in Early China and Chinese Thought: from Confucius to Cook Ding. He is a Fellow of the British Academy.
