Thomas H. Mawson

Thomas H. Mawson (1861–1933) was an English garden designer, landscape architect and city planner who designed gardens in different parts of Britain, elsewhere in Europe and Canada. Between 1910 and 1924, he often gave lectures at the school of civic design at Liverpool University. Mawson also contributed articles on garden design to the magazine The Studio and its annual Studio Year Book of Decorative Art. Among other works, he designed the 243-meter pergola in Hampstead Heath (West Heath), which is now open to the public.
