Tomas Riad

Tomas Riad is a professor of Nordic languages at Stockholm University. He researches the sound system of language, specialising in the prosody of Swedish and other Germanic languages. He has done research on metre and in recent years has pursued an interest in the development of reading skills in a second language. Since 2011, Riad has sat in Chair no. 6 at the Swedish Academy.
