Yukiko Duke is a writer and literary critic based in Sweden. Of Swedish-Japanese origin, she is the author of “Mikaku – den japanska kokboken”, which was nominated for the August Prize, and several other, critically acclaimed books on Japan.
She has also translated 20 literary works from Japanese to Swedish, among them works of Nobel laureate Kenzaburo Oe and Haruki Murakami. Duke is currently the Artistic Director of the Norwegian Festival of Literature, the largest literary festival in the Nordic countries
