William Dalrymple

William Dalrymple is a Scottish historian, author and broadcaster with a degree from Trinity College, University of Cambridge. Dalrymple has written numerous books with a particular focus on art and history from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Middle East. He is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books, The Guardian, New Statesman and The New Yorker. His latest book is The Golden Road: How Ancient India Transformed the World (2024), published in Swedish by Bokförlaget Stolpe in 2026 (Guldvägen: Hur det forntida Indien förändrade världen).
