GDPR – Processing of Personal Data by Stolpe Publishing
Purpose
Stolpe Publishing values your privacy. You should feel secure when entrusting us with your personal data. Therefore, we have established a policy outlining the personal data we process and how we handle it. If you wish to delete your information, it is your right to contact us and inform us that you wish to have your information removed. If there are no outstanding obligations to settle, you will be promptly deleted from our systems.

The premise is that only employees within Stolpe Publishing and vendors contracted by our company have access to your personal data.

How Stolpe Publishing processes personal data

Purpose – Receive and facilitate email conversations in our operations.
Personal Data Processed – Name, email, and other information the sender chooses to send to us.
Legal Basis – Legitimate interests. After reading the email, a further assessment is made regarding the legal basis for continued processing of personal data.
Storage Period – Data is stored as long as we consider it relevant for our operations. After that, it is deleted from our system.
Processing of Personal Data – Submitted manuscripts
Purpose – To simplify our handling of submitted manuscripts.
Personal Data Processed – Name, email, author’s name (if different from the submitter), phone number, and the manuscript.
Legal Basis – Legitimate interests.
Storage Period – Data is stored as long as we consider it relevant for our operations. After that, it is deleted from our system.
Processing of Personal Data – Digital Newsletters
Purpose – To email our newsletter to individuals interested in our products.
Personal Data Processed – Email address.
Legal Basis – Legitimate interests.
Storage Period – One can choose to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of our email dispatch. The dispatch will cease immediately, and you will be removed from the system.
Processing of Personal Data – Individuals Entering Agreements with Stolpe Publishing (authors, translators, photographers, illustrators, designers, etc.)
Purpose – To conduct our publishing activities and to enter into agreements with our freelancers and other external contractors.
Personal Data Processed – Name, address, email address, phone number, account number, and any information provided when compiling an agreement. Depending on whether you have your own business, we may also need to process your social security number. We also process your name in article information if applicable.

Purpose – To be able to sell our books directly to customers.

Storage Period – When you place orders for books directly through Stolpe Publishing, your personal information is stored in our order system and sent to third parties solely for the processing and registration of orders, packing and delivery, as well as in connection with payment. These companies have an independent right or obligation to process your personal data in accordance with GDPR.

Purpose – To streamline our administration of authorship-and review mailings in our operations.

Storage Period – We keep personal data as long as there is a relationship with the registered individual and for a period thereafter, as long as there is a legal basis.

Purpose – To be able to hire employees, contract freelancers and welcome interns in our operations.
