Lars Lönnroth

Lars Lönnroth is emeritus professor of literature at the University of Gothenburg and formerly cultural editor of the Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet. Lönnroth has done research on oral poetry, Old Icelandic literature, Bellman and Geijer and has published a number of books on the topics. He has also translated Njals saga and The Poetic Edda into Swedish. He is editor-in-chief, together with Sven Delblanc, of the series Den svenska litteraturen.
