Hilma af Klint

Hilma af Klint has taken the art world by storm. Once virtually unknown, she is now compared with the greatest modern painters, and her works are considered ground-breaking.

In 2022, Stolpe Publishing completed a Catalogue Raisonné over Hilma af Klint. In addition to the completion of the Catalogue Raisonné, the Virtual Reality piece “Hilma af Klint – The Temple” was released, featuring 193 of her paintings. Stolpe Publishing has also produced a numer of filmed interviews and podcast episodes where scholars, art historians and authors talk about her artistry.

The Catalogue Raisonné of the abstract pioneer Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) comprises seven volumes and nearly 1,600 of Hilma af Klint’s works.

Hilma af Klint – The Temple

Hilma af Klint dreamt of a spiral-shaped building to house her most important works. More than a century later, her vision has been translated into a virtual reality experience.

Stolpe Publishing produces the podcast Stolpe Stories. The episodes on Hilma af Klint are currently only available in Swedish.

About Hilma af Klint

Born in Stockholm, Hilma af Klint studied at the city’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1887. She established herself as a respected artist, exhibiting figurative paintings.
